What is NDIS Plan Management?
The main function of Plan Management is to assist and support NDIS participants to manage their funding. The Gateways Plan Management team can support participants by;
- Offering control enabling self-empowerment so participants can make their own life choices
- Managing and monitoring budgets
- Managing claims and paying invoices for services delivered
- Giving participants access to their own Dashboard to view live budgets, NDIS plan and invoices.
How do I request to have my NDIS funds Plan Managed?
NDIS participants are eligible to have disability Plan Management included in their NDIS plan. This can be done during the plan creation meeting and subsequently at any plan review meetings with your NDIS planner. You may also request this at any time throughout by contacting enquiries@ndis.gov.au or 1800 800 100.
Do I have to pay for Plan Management?
There is no cost for the participant to be Plan Managed. The NDIS directly pay the plan manager a setup fee and monthly fee to provide plan management support to the NDIS participant.
Is Gateways Plan Management Australia wide?
Yes, Gateways can Plan Manage your NDIS plan no matter where you live in Australia.
Can I transfer to Gateways from another Plan Manager?
Yes, we often get asked this question. The NDIS is about choice and control regardless of how far you are in your plan. We want every one of our participants to feel empowered to change.
Every Plan Manager has their own terms and conditions for exiting their services. It is important that you give your Plan Manager notice along with your Support Coordinator if you have one. This will help make the transition a little faster and more streamlined for you.
