Recreation theatre restaurant activity proves a hit
A visit to a quirky theatre restaurant proved a hit with participants in our recreation program for people with disabilities
Gateways Support Services’ participants and recreation team leaders enjoyed a fun night out at Witches in Britches in Melbourne recently. The group of 18 enjoyed a brilliant show as well as a 3 course dinner.
One participant was chosen to go on stage in costume with everyone reporting that there were lots of laughs all night and requests to go again.
The small group programs are developed to reflect the interests of the group and are supported by trained and experienced Recreation Team Leaders. Activities provide opportunities for people with disabilities to get out and about in the community, socialise and develop friendships.
Gateways offers a range of recreation program activities for people with disabilities in the Werribee, Wyndham, Footscray, Brimbank and Melton areas.
