Liam’s Mural And Gateways’ New Space

At Gateways, we’ve always believed in creating spaces that empower, support, and include everyone. This year, we’ve taken another step in that direction with the official opening of our redesigned office space at Thompson Road, Geelong. After relocating upstairs, we now have a more collaborative and community-focused environment, allowing our team to work even more closely together to support individuals and families across the Barwon region, Wyndham, Western Melbourne, and Southwest Victoria.

One of the most exciting features of our new office is a vibrant mural created by Liam O’Neil, a talented local artist who was diagnosed with Autism by Gateways at just 3 ½ years old. Liam’s journey is a powerful symbol of the work we do. He started painting at 23 and has since become an ambassador for Autism Awareness in the Geelong region. His mural reflects the many programs and activities we offer to help individuals with disabilities feel included and supported.

Liam’s mural is now the heart of our office space, reminding us daily of the positive impact Gateways strives to have on the lives of so many. His story showcases the power of community, growth, and inclusion—values that define who we are and what we stand for.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue our work supporting people of all abilities, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone belongs. We invite you to be part of this journey and help us build a stronger, more connected community.
