Carers Week 2016 – Meet Carly & Charlotte

National Carers Week 2016 is here! This week is all about joining together to recognise the outstanding contributions of Australia’s 2.7 million carers and the difference they make to their families and communities.

Like Carly who cares for her 3 children with ASD…

Being a carer to my 3 ASD children has been an unplanned yet amazing journey. Each day they surprise me with a new found skill or development and it warms my heart!

I’m fortunate to have the support of many dedicated therapists who strive to make a difference in both their lives and our family as a whole. I have also met some wonderful and inspiring ASD parents through the Stepping Stones program. Each day I’m presented with an opportunity to express my love and thankfulness for the little people that I care for.
