Carers Week 2016 – Meet Alex & Emma

This week is National Carers Week. A time to join together to recognise the outstanding contributions of Australia’s 2.7 million carers and the difference they make to their families and communities.

Today we’d like you to meet Alex and Emma from our Stepping Stones program…

While my wife is Emma’s full-time carer, I’m lucky that my job isn’t 9-5, so I get to spend more time with Emma than many other dads would, and give my wife a break.

Stepping Stones is something that we both look forward to each week as it is our only regular one-on-one time.

Watching her progress is a joy.
